JoyCamp training commenced this week with the team of wonderful volunteers and leaders. You will notice the fellowship hall decorated and prepped for a summer of fun that officially begins tomorrow! The team is still looking for some volunteers to cook lunch and lead morning devotion. There are two more spots open for lunch and one more spot left for morning devotions. Many thanks to those who have already signed up and most importantly, please pray for this ministry so that the gospel and love of Jesus can reach the hearts of all the children and volunteers. We encourage everyone in the church to join the JoyCampers in memorizing the theme verse, Psalm 16:7-8: “I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”
Beginning this Sunday, the JoyCamp team will be setting up for the upcoming week at 4pm every Sunday this month. Kindly clear out the Fellowship Hall by 4pm so the team can promptly begin setup.
Starting today, there will be no formally hosted fellowship time during the months of July and August to give our small groups and helpers a well-deserved rest. But you are welcome to still pick up & enjoy your lunch with us in the Fellowship Hall. If you’d still like to bring snacks and refreshments during this time, feel free to drop them off at the table for everyone to enjoy- just note there won’t be any formal setup or hosting. Thanks for understanding as we take this time to recharge and reorganize for this ministry!
Lastly, if you were able to stay and join our Jazz Orchestra Concert hosted by our brother Naoya last week, we’d like to give you a warm thank you for supporting him. To thank you himself, Naoya would like to come up and speak a little bit about this event as well as show a short video from the concert.
