YCG will be going Apple Picking this Saturday, 10/18, on Long Island at Bakewicz Farms and would like to extend the invitation to everyone in English Congregation. Please let one of the leaders know if you will be able to make it and if you can drive some students there. We will meet at the church parking lot at 8:30am.
Our Election Nomination period ends today, 11/12 at 3:00 PM. Please submit your nominations if you haven’t already. You can nominate candidates using the paper forms by the usher table as you exit the sanctuary. Each form has a QR code in the top corner—scan it to submit your nomination online. You may nominate as many candidates as you wish, as long as they are active members. If you use the paper form, please drop it in the suggestion box in the fellowship hall. If you have questions, please contact Catharina Lee or Janice Lin. The in-person election will be held on Sunday, 11/23, immediately after the service.
If you would like to study the Heidelberg Catechism, we will have a trial run of a Heidelberg Catechism Sunday school class starting 10/19 at 11:30PM in Hope House, led by Pastor Ryan. We will take an in-depth look at the Lord’s prayer to enrich our own prayer lives over six sessions. This class will be combined with the Mandarin youth to help build unity and relationships as we grow our faith together. Please contact Pastor Ryan at ryan@newtown.church if you are interested.
