Save the Date! YCG will be going Apple Picking on Saturday, Oct 18th, on Long Island at Bakewicz Farms and would like to extend the invitation to everyone in English Congregation. Please let one of the leaders know if you’d like to go or able to provide rides to/from the farm. We will meet in the church parking lot at 8:30am.
Baptism, Transfer, and Confirmation classes will start in October. If you have been attending this church but have not given your life to Christ, or have not formally committed to following Christ with this congregation, these classes are for you. We will study the Heidelberg Catechism over three sessions. If you are interested, please contact Pastor Ryan at ryan@newtown.church. The schedule will be based on interest and availability.
If you’re not getting baptized or transferring but still want to study the Heidelberg Catechism, we will have a trial run of a Heidelberg Catechism Sunday school class starting October 19th at 11:30PM in Hope House, led by Pastor Ryan. We will take an in-depth look at the Lord’s prayer to enrich our own prayer lives over six sessions. This class will combine Mandarin youth and everyone from the English congregation in one class to help build unity and relationships as we grow our faith together.
Our Election Nomination period has begun and will end on Sunday, October 12 at 3:00 PM. You can nominate candidates using the paper forms by the usher table as you exit the sanctuary. Each form has a QR code in the top corner—scan it to submit your nomination online. You may nominate as many candidates as you wish as long as they are active members. If you use the paper form, please drop it in the suggestion box in the Fellowship Hall. If you have questions, please contact Catharina Lee or Janice Lin. The in-person election will be held on Sunday, November 23, immediately after the service.
